Jakarta-Review: Solve the challenge of Collective Impairment
The first event that FERNBACH organised in Jakarta was a huge success. More than 30 participants attended, all showing a lively interest and making use of the opportunity to learn from an experienced IFRS project leader (from Woori Financial Group). The important advice given will be conducive to a successful management strategy for the implementation of IFRS.
Some follow-up took place, mainly with large Indonesian commercial banks who discussed challenging topics such as daily processing with large data volumes or the creation of a model for accurate prepayment behaviour to estimate cash flows.
Additionally, FERNBACH presented its integrated modelling platform (FlexFinanceAnalytix) to generate relevant PD under IFRS from historical data or any existing rating. This topic is particularly interesting for the Indonesian market which has not fully adopted Basel II yet.
