FERNBACH IFRS Event in Jakarta

The first FERNBACH event to be held in Jakarta was a huge success. More than 30 motivated participants attended, all looking to make use of the opportunity to learn from an experienced IFRS project leader (from South Korea’s Woori Financial Group). The important advice given will help to foster successful management strategies for IFRS implementation.

The discussions that followed saw mostly major commercial banks from Indonesia talking about challenging topics such as daily processing with large data volumes or the creation of a model for accurate prepayment behaviour to estimate cash flows.

Additionally, FERNBACH presented its integrated modelling platform (FlexFinance Analytix) to generate relevant PD under IFRS using historical data or any existing rating. This topic is of particular interest to the Indonesian market, which has not yet fully adopted Basel II.
