Consultant (m/f)

Description

The Consultant is responsible for consulting, parameterisation and implementation services for our customers with regard to FERNBACH software solutions. He/she instructs customers on software application, focussing on the implementation of our software to efficiently solve the problems in daily banking operations. Consulting services include the analysis of problematic banking issues which should result in a feasible, software-based solution concept for the customer. By using his/her in-depth knowledge, project skills and cooperativeness, he/she can quickly gain the respect and trust of our customers.
 

Corporate Integration

The Consultant is assigned to the Professional Services Department and reports to the respective Head of Professional Services or Project Leader.

Area of Responsibility

The Consultant is responsible for organising customer sub-projects in the banking industry, ensuring accurate, on-schedule implementation.
 

Requirements

Languages:

English (good to excellent written and spoken English), German

Qualification:

University degree in Economics or a similar discipline

Experience:

Working experience, preferably in a banking environment or financial consulting

Specialisation:

In-depth knowledge of at least one of the following topics would be an advantage:

  • IFRS, US GAAP, Accounting
  • Risk management
  • Lending processes, loan applications, loan back office
Skills:
  • Good banking skills
  • Good IT skills, SQL, C or JAVA would be an advantage
  • Good presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel internationally
  • Proficient in methodology
  • Distinct ability to grasp, analyse, evaluate and clearly document complex operations and processes

Tasks and Level of Authority

  • Project and sub-project management tasks
  • Setting out the requirements for resources for project and sub-project management tasks
  • Direct contact for all operational project and product issues for the business unit in question
  • Compiling or supporting project documentation
  • Analyses and definition of customer requirements
  • Working in the project team with the customer if necessary
  • Supporting the Project Leader/Sub-project Leader
